Semaglutide is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes by regulating blood sugar levels, and it’s convenient, “set it and forget it,” once weekly treatment has made it a patient favorite.

Semaglutide is administered with one simple injection per week, making it more convenient than other diabetes medications that need to be taken several times per day.
Semaglutide can help with weight loss by mimicking a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that the body naturally produces in response to eating. This stimulates the secretion of insulin from the pancreatic beta cells in response to elevated glucose levels. GLP-1 interacts with the brain to suppress appetite and signal a feeling of fullness by slowing digestion, delaying gastric emptying to make you feel fuller longer and decrease your appetite.
For maximum results, Semaglutide can be administered weekly for 5 months or more. There is an increase in price as the dose increases each month, both of which are outlined below.
Month 1: 4 injections of 0.25mg for $160
Month 2: 4 injections of 0.50mg for $215
Month 3: 4 injections of 1mg for $250
Month 4: 4 injections of 1.75mg for $300
Month 5+: 4 injections of 2.5mg for $330
