Jennifer Whitaker is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a lifelong passion for caring for others. She began her healthcare journey at just 15 years old as a Certified Nursing Assistant and has continued to grow in her field ever since. One of the most meaningful moments in her career was caring for her grandfather during his final days—an experience that deeply shaped her calling and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Jen transitioned from acute care nursing into primary care with a desire to build lasting relationships and make a meaningful impact in the lives of her patients. She was drawn to One Cross Community Health & Wellness because of its strong emphasis on compassionate, relationship-centered care and its commitment to serving the whole person.
Her approach to healthcare is rooted in whole-person wellness—recognizing that true healing involves more than physical symptoms. Jen believes in addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health, ensuring each patient feels seen, heard, and supported. She values building trust with her patients, fostering open communication, and working collaboratively to help individuals achieve their long-term health goals.

A fun fact about Jen—she was the youngest person at the time to complete vocational training and become a licensed LPN in the state of Kansas, reflecting her lifelong dedication to serving others through healthcare.
