Samaritan’s Purse was created by a man named Bob Pierce in 1970 while traveling through Korea and seeing the suffering among the children there. His goal was to meet the emergency needs though churches and mission agencies. He wrote these, now famous, words in his Bible “Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God”. Bob ran Samaritan Purse until his death in 1978, then in 1979, Franklin Graham becomes the president and chairman of the board. Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, had worked in the field with Samaritan’s Purse and had a real passion for its mission. Through the leadership of Graham Samaritan’s Purse saw incredible growth. One Cross Medical Campbellsville Clinic is proud to sponsor this organization and Pastor Graham.

Luke 10:33-37 But a Samaritan, as he traveled came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. “ Look after him, he said, and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have”. Which of these do you think was a good neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers? The experts in the law replied The one who had mercy on him. Jesus told him, “Go and Do Likewise”.
