Perry Babcock is a well-respected Family Nurse Practitioner with a zeal for combining lifestyle and medicine. He is dedicated to giving his patients access to total body health. His passion for Integrative Medicine, which combines holistic and alternative practices, focuses on complete health of the mind, body, and spirit. He is on a lifelong mission to discover how people can achieve optimal health by the way they live their lives. While he understands there is a need for conventional medicine, he believes that traditional western medicine can cover up symptoms and not address the root cause of a patient’s maladies.
Perry believes total body health is achieved by reconnecting with nature, eating the right foods, incorporating daily movement/exercise, practicing mindfulness/stress management, and by avoiding toxic substances. Perry enjoys educating his patients on how to do this whenever possible. He is currently completing a Fellowship with University of Arizona Dr. Weil’s Center for Integrative Medicine. Perry hopes to be part of a transformational health care system and contribute to thinking differently about the future of medical care so we can achieve a healthier society as a whole.
Perry holds a BS in Physiology and a BSN from Michigan State University. He received his MSN from Chamberlain University and is a certified APRN FNP. He has been practicing as a provider for six years and has experience in primary care, addiction medicine, and hepatitis C management. Perry is passionate about expanding access to these critical services in underserved and rural communities. He also has eight years of previous RN experience in a hospital setting working in the intensive care, cardiac, and step-down units.
Perry lives on a farm in central Kentucky with his wife of 16 years and their three children. In his down time he values spending quality time with his family, working out, hiking, and furthering his education on achieving optimal health and longevity.
