Restoring Wellness

A Message from Kim McKenna:

When I first entered the world of healthcare, I carried a deep belief that medicine could — and should — do more than treat symptoms. I believed it could restore wholeness. At One Cross Community. Health, that belief has guided every decision we’ve made: to serve not only the body, but also the mind and the spirit.

Today, as we look across our nation, it’s clear that healing must happen on a larger scale. That’s why this message — Restoring Wellness — matters so deeply. It’s not about politics or policy; it’s about people. It’s about rebuilding the health of our communities through truth, compassion, and connection.

“True healing begins when faith meets action — when we remember that wellness is not a privilege, but a shared responsibility.”

— Kim McKenna

The Heart of Wellness

America is facing a chronic disease crisis, especially among children. According to the Make America Healthy Again Strategy Report (2025), four major drivers are harming our nation’s health:

1. Poor Diet – Over 60% of children’s calories now come from ultra-processed foods, leading to obesity, diabetes, and nutrient deficiency.
2. Chemical Exposure – Increasing exposure to synthetic chemicals contributes to developmental and chronic diseases.
3. Inactivity and Chronic Stress – Sedentary lifestyles, screen dependence, and anxiety have replaced rest and outdoor play.
4. Overmedicalization – Too many medications, not enough prevention, and a growing disconnect between care and healing.

To restore wellness, we must look deeper than healthcare systems. Real transformation begins with personal responsibility, community connection, and a renewed respect for the balance of body, mind, and spirit.

How One Cross Leads in Healing

At One Cross Community Health, our mission is simple but profound: To provide compassionate, whole-person care that transforms health through faith, science, and community.

We believe in meeting people where they are — whether they come seeking primary care, behavioral. health, pediatrics, psychiatry, counseling, addiction recovery, or spiritual support. Every service we offer reflects one unified vision: healing that honors both the science of medicine and the sacredness of life.

In our clinic, healing happens through relationship — when a provider listens deeply, when a counselor helps someone find hope again, or when prayer and medicine come together in one place.

“Wholeness isn’t achieved in a doctor’s visit; it’s cultivated through community and compassion.”

— Kim McKenna

From Policy to People

While national strategies set the stage for reform, the real work of health happens in community. Restoring wellness isn’t just about systems — it’s about values, relationships, and shared purpose.

At One Cross, we live out this vision by:
• Promoting whole-food nutrition and food education.
• Encouraging movement, rest, and balance in daily life.
• Offering trauma-informed behavioral health and counseling that address root causes.
• Providing faith-based care that brings healing to the heart as well as the body.
• Partnering with schools, churches, and local organizations to create a culture of wellness.

“Healing a nation begins by healing one heart at a time.”

— Kim McKenna

The Call to Heal

We are living in a defining moment. The health of our country reflects the health of our communities — and the health of our communities begins with us.

At MAHA Living by One Cross Community Health, we invite you to join this mission. Take a walk. Eat something real. Rest your mind. Strengthen your faith. Love your neighbor. These are not small acts — they are the steps that will restore a nation.

Together, through grace and action, we can restore wellness — in our homes, our hearts, and our communities.
